Some trauma resists language entirely. Survivors of sudden, violent events can find themselves unable to express what happened — even to the people closest to them. Israeli artist Tomer Peretz worked with October 7 survivors who couldn't yet speak about what they had been through. He gave them paint instead of words. What they created through the Eight Project surprised everyone. This conversation is about what he witnessed, and what it revealed about where healing sometimes begins.
